Brass brazing alloys, also called Copper-Zinc brazing alloys, could be divided into normal brass alloy and special brass alloy. Different from normal brass alloy, special brass alloy is a multi-component copper alloy composed of Sn, Mn, Ni, Fe, S, i and other elements. Special brass alloys have better brazing properties than normal copper-zinc alloys. It could provide better brazing strength, higher corrosion resistance, a more convenient brazing process, etc. For example, the addition of Sn can reduce the melting point ofthe common copper-zinc alloy, making brazing temperature lower and easier to operate; the addition of Mn can improve the strength of the copper-zinc alloy, making it more suitable for the use of cemented carbide products. Special brass brazing alloy is cheap and widely used. It could match the brazing demand of iron, steel, cemented carbide, or copper products by various brazing processes. Could be shaped into different kinds of shapes, such as: ring, wire, straight rod, flat sheet, particles, powder, paste, etc.
It’s suitable for gas welding and carbon arc welding of brass. It is also used for brazing copper, mild steel, cast iron, nickel alloy, hard alloy and other materials.
